US First Lady Jill Biden to visit Slovakia

The First lady of the US, Jill Biden, will visit Slovakia and Romania from May 5-9, wrote Reuters on Monday. The aim of her visit is to meet with U.S. service members and embassy personnel, displaced Ukrainian parents and children, humanitarian aid workers, and teachers. The wife of the US President will come to Slovakia on Mother's Day to meet Ukrainian mothers and children who fled their homeland after the Russian invasion. According to the published agenda, she should also meet with refugees, aid workers and local residents supporting families who have found refuge in Slovakia. On May 8, Biden will visit the largest city in eastern Slovakia, Košice, and the Vyšné Nemecké border crossing with Ukraine. She plans to meet with members of the Slovak government on May 8 before returning to the United States.
