Defence Minister Nad: Slovakia determined to continue helping Ukraine

Slovakia is prepared to continue supporting Ukraine with both humanitarian and military aid, Defence Minister Jaroslav Nad declared on Tuesday after multilateral talks held at the Ramstein US air base on support for Kiev, TASR learnt from the ministry press department on the same day.

The Slovak defence minister informed his foreign confreres about the aid Slovakia has already provided as well as the potential sale of Zuzana 2 howitzers. Regarding long-term support, Nad touched on the commercial cooperation in the repairs of Ukrainian equipment by Slovak industrial facilities and the training of personnel.

It was US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin who initiated the meeting at the Ramstein air base in Germany on Tuesday. The United States and its allies plan to meet once a month to discuss the needs of Ukraine in its fight against the Russian occupation army. Also present at the meeting was Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksii Reznikov.
