Slovak Environment Minister Ján Budaj reported that he will aim to ban cars from having access to mountain cottages and cabins, especially in the High Tatras. Budaj announced this in a reaction to recent reports of a scavenging she-bear that had to be put down as she had lost all fear of people. At the same time, the minister wants to discuss reducing the volume of waste produced by cottage-dwellers with the owners of these establishments.
