President Andrej Kiska has decided to return to Parliament a bill on judges approved in the House in late June, criticising the provision introducing secret balloting concerning personnel issues at the Judicial Council, including the election of Supreme Court chair, announced Kiska's advisor Rado Bato.
Kiska believes that given the current situation involving the judiciary in Slovakia, it would be better to preserve transparent balloting at the Judicial Council. The president considers the concept of ‘open justice’ as an important part of solving the current situation, said Bato.
