The crisis caused by the war in Ukraine may be an area for a consistent use of renewable energy sources as well as for energy efficiency, for example, in building renvoations, stated President Zuzana Caputova, who opened a business forum in Rome on Thursday. The head of state said that cooperation between companies is shaping up, for example in the field of battery storage and in other green economy related topics. "We need to diversify resources. This is a challenge the whole EU is facing now in terms of dependence on, for example, Russian gas," stated Caputova. As she stated, we can also use the potential crisis situation to pay attention to, for example, renewable energy sources. "I consider this to be a great chance, for example, to fulfil our ambitions to be a carbon-neutral country by 2050. Resources in the recovery plan have also been earmarked for this," noted the president.
