The Interior Ministry launched the so-called Electronic Marketplace which should allow fully electronic presentation of offers and purchases of goods, construction services and other services in public procurement.
As spokesperson for the Interior Ministry stated thanks to this tool public procurement should become more efficient, and the process should be shortened from three-four months to one week. Another advantage of the system is simplified administration and the fact that it represents an anti-corruption tool, as the state, municipal offices and higher territorial units will make purchases online.
