The Government at its session on Tuesday approved an increase in the upper limit of NATO soldiers allowed to serve in the multinational battlegroup stationed in Slovakia. In line with the increase, its ranks can be bolstered by a further 900 soldiers from the Czech Republic, Germany, Slovenia and the USA, meaning that the battlegroup could consist of up to 3,000 soldiers. The number of Czech soldiers could grow by 100, with Germany set to send up to 500, the USA 200 and Slovenia 100. The bill must still be approved by Parliament, however.
