The epidemiological situation in Slovakia is continuously improving, Health Minister Vladimir Lengvarsky said following the Government session on Tuesday.
Health Analysis Institute (IZA) head Matej Misik noted that the number of people testing positive for COVID-19, the number of patients admitted to hospitals, and the number of people in need of lung ventilation are significantly declining.
The number of patients who are currently in hospital with COVID-19 fell below 1,700, and the number of people admitted to hospitals on a daily basis dropped, too. The positivity of the tests is also going down rapidly. The districts of Bratislava, Senec and Pezinok (Bratislava region) reported the highest number of coronavirus-positive cases, however, the seven-day incidence is going down in them as well.
