Son confesses to murdering father

The remains of a man from the south-east Slovak town of Kráľovský Chlmec have been discovered by police. Alexandra B. (55) had been recorded as missing since June 27, but was unearthed this week by police in a garden area of Trebišov, approximately 50 kilometres away.

The deceased had been reported as missing by his son Patrik B. (26), however the son has since confessed to murdering his father, as was announced by the Košice Regional police spokesperson Alexander Szabó on Tuesday. On Monday, police received information that the missing man is most likely the victim of a violent crime, with suspicion landing at the feet of his 26-year-old son. “When brought to the police station, he admitted that he had killed his father on the night of the 24th and 25th of June, 2014. He has subsequently told police where his father’s remains were buried”, said Szabó. An autopsy has been ordered, and the case is ongoing. If guilty, the 26 year old will face between 20 to 25 years or life imprisonment, explained the police spokesperson.
