Slovak high school students from Gymnázium at Poštová street in Košice won the award for the world's best student company. Their business Scribo devised and manufactures a waste-free wax marker for whiteboards. "Thanks to their innovative wax composition, their whole body is consumed by writing, so they do not produce any excess waste and do not dry out," said Eva Vargová, head of Junior Achievement (JA) educational organisation.
"The six nominated best student companies from all over the world competed for this prestigious award. Europe and especially Slovakia were represented by the student company Scribo, which won the European prize for the best student company last school year and now the world finals. We have received for the first time such an important award in the 30-year history of JA Slovakia," explained Vargová.
