Opposition finds insufficient government's price hikes aid

On Thursday, Labour Minister Milan Krajniak presented the help proposed by the Government related to the price hikes. As he informed, the state should provide inflation aid to Slovak citizens in material need totalling €133 million. The aid should be paid out by the end of June. According to the opposition Voice-SD party leader Peter Pellegrini, the so-called inflation aid is absolutely insufficient. As he added, a one-off contribution of €100 after three and a half months of the Government's complete inactivity is irrefutable proof of its inability to help its own citizens. The Voice-SD Party points out huge specific aid packages that have long been adopted by neighbouring states to provide effective assistance to their citizens. "One hundred euros compared to the dozens of measures taken by our neighbours is one huge shame," emphasised Pellegrini.
