The main item on the agenda of an upcoming two-day NATO summit in Brussels will be allied aid for Ukraine and the assessment of its situation. The talks will also revolve around the coordination of approach towards Russia and the preparation of a new NATO Strategic Concept, due to be approved at a summit in June in Madrid. The summit will be attended also by High Representative of the EU Josep Borrell and foreign ministers from the NATO partner countries: Ukraine, Finland, Sweden, Georgia, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand. According to Slovak Foreign Minister Ivan Korcok, the allies must face the reality that Russia and its President Vladimir Putin have destroyed Europe's security architecture. From the viewpoint of Slovakia's interests, discussions on European and transatlantic security must concern strengthening common defence, he added.
