Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Ivan Korcok today received the Director of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Samantha Power in Bratislava.
The focus of the discussion was the Russian war in Ukraine, its humanitarian impact and especially joint efforts in the field of humanitarian aid. "Russia's actions in Ukraine exceed all acceptable limits of international law and are causing a humanitarian catastrophe of a scale not seen in Europe since World War II," said the head of Slovak diplomacy.
The Minister informed his interlocutor about the aid for refugees from Ukraine who are seeking shelter in Slovakia, as well as about the material aid going from Slovakia to Ukraine, which has already reached the value of more than 2.2 million euros.
