Another alternative gas supplier, A. En. Slovensko based in Martin (Zilina region), has stopped operating in Slovakia, with gas utility SPP taking over its 751 customers as the end supplier as of Wednesday, SPP-distribucia spokesman Milan Vanga has told TASR.
SPP will supply gas to A.En. customers for a maximum of three months. "The three-month period provides the affected customers with enough time to sign contracts for gas supplies with a supplier according to their free choice. If they fail to sign a contract with any supplier within this period, their gas supplies will be terminated," said Vanga.
A. En. is the latest company that has failed to cope with the pressure of currently high gas purchase prices and has had to leave the market. It follows Greenlogy and Twinlogy, which stopped operating in late January, and the largest alternative energy supplier, Slovakia Energy, which left the market last year.
