There are several joint Slovak-Hungarian road-infrastructure projects in progress that we want to continue to work on together, stated Slovak Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajčák after meeting his Hungarian counterpart Tibor Navracsics in Bratislava on Monday.
Moreover, the two countries want to continue to carry out joint cross-border projects in the area of energy and transport that are currently in progress, Lajčák added referring thus to a bridge over the Danube River that is to link the Slovak town of Komarno with Komarom on the Hungarian side. Turning to bilateral ties between Slovakia and Hungary, Lajčák confirmed that a constructive dialogue is taking place between the two countries. Hungarian Foreign Minister claims that his first official visit to Slovakia is to send out a clear message that Slovak-Hungarian relations are good however he did admit that there are certain differences between the two. The aim, the Hungarian representative claims, shouldn't be to eliminate these but to mitigate them via talks.
