“Every other PCR test in Slovakia is positive, and the curve of new cases is distorted by the fact that fewer tests are being carried out”, an epidemiologist from the Health Ministry Martin Pavelka stated after assessing the epidemiological situation in Slovakia on Wednesday. He noted in this regard that the declining number of new cases does not mean that the pandemic is over. "The significant decrease in cases is significantly confronted by the fact that we're testing less," said the expert, adding that the real decrease is very slight. The number of hospitalised patients as well as patients in need of lung ventilation also went down slightly. In addition, the number of emergency medical call-outs is lower.
