On Thursday, eight Foreign Ministers from NATO's Eastern flank meet at the Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Ministry. The platform, known as the Bucharest Nine, was established in 2015 as a result of the deteriorating security situation in Eastern Europe caused by Russia's annexation of Crimea. In Bratislava, ministers discussed the strengthening of the Alliance's defences, and in particular, its eastern wing, in the face of Russia's continued unjustified military attacks in Ukraine. The meeting was be joined by the Deputy Secretary General of NATO, and partners from Ukraine and the USA.
