President Zuzana Caputova met with Verkhovna Rada lawmakers Olena Khomenko and Maria Mezentseva and Melitopol Mayor Ivan Fedorov on Tuesday, and called it “a very strong meeting with young people determined to defend their homeland and risk their lives for its European future.”
The head of state promised that Slovakia will help with the care of ill, disabled and wounded Ukrainian children who can't get their health treatments in the war-torn cities. She underlined that a great challenge for the international community is not just to send humanitarian aid to Ukraine, but also to deliver it safely and securely to the besieged towns and villages.
The Ukrainian guests were received earlier in the day also by the other two top constitutional officials, House Chair Boris Kollar (We Are Family) and Prime Minister Eduard Heger (OLaNO).
