The register of vacancies in schools prepared by the Education Ministry aims to ensure easier entry into Slovak schools for children from Ukraine, the ministry's communication and marketing department told TASR on Tuesday, adding that the register is available on the ministry's website along with its Ukrainian version.
Slovak as well as Ukrainian citizens who are interested in helping schools in connection with the wave of refugees can also register on the ministry's website, which will ask them to provide their qualifications. Schools can voluntarily publish their free capacities for Ukrainian children in the register. However, parents can still go to a preferred school in person and find out if there is free capacity for their child and request the inclusion of a pupil.
