Foreign Affairs Minister Ivan Korcok (an SaS nominee) on Tuesday received the governor of the US State of Indiana, Eric Holcomb, TASR has learnt from the Foreign Affairs Ministry.
The governor was accompanied by the commander of Indiana's National Guard as well as the secretary of commerce for the state. The aim of their visit was to examine Slovakia's needs in regards to the war in Ukraine, including humanitarian aspects and bolstering defence cooperation. At the same time, the officials have made use of the visit to deepen economic cooperation in specific areas.
As for the talks concerning the economy, Korcok and the Indiana delegation discussed, among other matters, the transformation of the industrially oriented economies both of Slovakia and Indiana into a green economy, hydrogen mobility and initiatives dealing with the global shortage of semi-conductor chips.
