The European Parliament's Vice-president Michal Simecka received Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger in the European Parliament's Office on Thursday to discuss the Russian aggression against Ukraine and the Ukrainian prospects of EU membership. Simecka claimed that he concurred with Heger that the voice of Slovakia must resonate in Europe more. "I'm convinced that Ukraine should immediately be granted the status of a EU candidate country. I'm glad that Prime Minister Heger is promoting this agenda at the level of the European Council. It's really in Slovakia's interest," explained Simecka.
