The Government approved at its online meeting that the state will set up an international humanitarian logistics centre on its eastern border with Ukraine. The centre should ensure a sufficient volume of transport of humanitarian material from the European Union member states through Slovakia to Ukraine. "The result will be that all humanitarian aid that passes through Slovakia will be delivered to Ukraine as soon as possible," reads the Government’s statement. The operation of the logistics centre will be completely financed by a European Union grant. The Interior Ministry requested the financial support this week.
