The Judicial Council has elected Beatrix Ricziova as the Slovak candidate for the post of an additional judge at the General Court of the EU in Luxembourg. The candidacy still has to be approved by the Government. If greenlighted, the candidate will be eligible to appear before the Consultative Committee of the Council of the EU. Ricziova was proposed as a candidate by Justice Minister Maria Kolikova in February. Currently, the candidate is representing Slovakia in the EU courts. Slovakia has failed to fill the vacant post at the General Court of the EU since September 2016.
