PM Heger would have reconsidered his attendance on mission to Kiev now

Following consultations with the security services, Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger decided to cancel his planned visit to Kiev, where he was supposed to join the prime ministers of the Czech Republic, Poland and Slovenia. Heger is saddened that his choice not to go is seen by people as a disappointment. "My stance on Ukraine hasn't changed. We need to continue extending robust support to them in order to help stop the war," said Heger, adding that his decision not to travel to Kiev was not guided by fear. If he were to received such an invitation again, he would probably reconsider his choice. Chief of Slovak diplomacy Ivan Korcok perceives the decision of Prime Minister Heger not to travel to Ukraine as being guided by security considerations and not a political signal.
