The recent expulsion of three Russian diplomats to Slovakia was a proper response to the findings of the Military Intelligence and the law-enforcement authorities, Slovak President Zuzana Caputova stated on Tuesday, claiming that the findings are extraordinarily serious and confirm a long-term trend of Russia influencing public opinion and politics in Slovakia.
"The aim of such activities is ultimately to undermine internal stability and weaken Slovakia's security, and we must therefore resist them effectively," the president said, voicing her belief that Slovak security forces will investigate all allegations of espionage for Russia to the letter and will be able to prevent similar activities in the future.
