On Monday, Slovak PM Eduard Heger left for the Vatican to meet Pope Francis to address a number of topics, with war in Ukraine being the most important one. "I want to thank him for deploying church resources on the Slovak-Ukrainian border because we can see how much of a difference they have made," said Heger before his departure. "I’m very pleased that the Holy Father is clearly pointing to the importance of peace and has called on Vladimir Putin to stop the aggression in Ukraine," noted the PM. He also added that the entire modern world, including Slovakia, has done likewise, as the war being waged by Russia has been condemned by 141 countries.
