President Zuzana Caputova spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in a telephone call on Thursday. In her post on a social network, Caputova wrote that Zelenskyy had repeatedly thanked her for the aid Slovakia has provided to Ukraine. The Ukrainian head of state underlined that Slovakia is an important and reliable friend. He added that Kiev also needs help from other states, however. Earlier in the day, Caputova met with the chief of Slovak diplomacy Ivan Korcok, Defence Minister Jaroslav Nad and the chief of the Slovak Armed Forces General Staff Daniel Zmeko over the war in Ukraine.
