In the first week of March, 1,006 vehicles transported more than 3,085 tonnes of humanitarian aid from Slovakia to Ukraine through border crossings in Vysne Nemecke and Ubla. In this context, the Financial Administration highlights that goods sent as humanitarian aid are also subject to legislation and customs supervision. The goods must be checked and identified. Customs clearance can be carried out at any inland branch of the Customs Office. It is also necessary to submit a list of the humanitarian aid being transported. Humanitarian aid cleared by inland branches has a simplified customs control process at border crossing points.
