Volunteers who have been helping people fleeing the war in Ukraine at the Ubla border crossing for almost two weeks are getting exhausted, their coordinator Zuzana Burdová told TASR press agency. That is why they have issued a call to expand their ranks. At the moment, they need especially the help of active volunteers, ideally with a knowledge of Ukrainian or Russian language, but English is sufficient too. Burdová added that in addition to the Slovak Red Cross and Greek Catholic Charity, about 20 volunteers are helping war refugees at the border crossing daily.
