Police deal with 12,130 people on border with Ukrainian in 24 hours

The police handled 12,130 people coming to Slovakia from Ukraine between 6 a.m. on Wednesday (March 2) and 6 a.m. on Thursday, with 4,127 of them being processed between midnight and 6 a.m., the police have reported on a social network. "The total number of people who have entered Slovakia from Ukraine since the conflict broke out is 79,059," wrote the police. The highest number of people over the past 24 hours were processed at the Vyšné Nemecké (Košice region) border crossing (7,411). An additional 2,563 people were dealt with at the Ubľa (Prešov region) crossing and 2,066 people at the Veľké Slemence (Košice region) crossing.
