The Czech police will send 50 officers to the Slovak-Ukrainian border at the request of the Slovak police to help with the registration of the people crossing the state border. "Due to security reasons, we won't announce the details of the Czech contingent's transport nor the exact timetable of its arrival," the Czech police posted on Twitter. After Sunday's session of the EU's Home Affairs Council in Brussels, Interior Minister Roman Mikulec claimed that Slovakia will ask the EU's Frontex agency for help with the protection of the Slovak-Ukrainian border. "As the front-line country, we are aware that this is the external border of the entire Schengen zone," he stated.
