After a nearly five-year process, LEAF Academy High School in Bratislava has received NEASC accreditation. So far, it is the only school in Slovakia that meets the NEASC criteria. In the Central European region, only three other schools in the Czech Republic and two in Poland have this accreditation. TASR was informed about this by Richard Holec of LEAF Academy.
NEASC accreditation is an internationally recognised guarantee of high quality and standards of education. "Part of our mission at LEAF Academy is to educate for the 4E values (ethics, excellence, civic engagement, entrepreneurial leadership), and humbleness plays an important role in character development at LEAF. But humbleness is not the same as false modesty, it is also an awareness of one's own strengths, and a recognition of the contribution of others," said Matej Sapák, the school's director.
