The state of emergency that is currently in place in Slovakia could on Tuesday, February 22. The government declared it for 90 days on November 25, 2021. Health Minister Vladimír Lengvarský recently claimed that the state of emergency should not be prolonged. The largest governing Ordinary people party agrees with Lengvarský and none of the remaining three coalition partners have declared their interest to extend the state of emergency.
