The Slovak Towns and Villages Association held a protest in front of the Government Office on Wednesday. Representatives of towns and municipalities feel a lack of answers to their concerns, especially in connection to the new building law, which is unacceptable for them as it curtails the powers of local governments but also significantly reduces the legal options of the public as participants in construction proceedings. The association also rejects updated funding for non-public schools and school facilities and calls for a change in the way in which social services are funded.
