More signs of trouble within the SDKU-DS party as vice-chair Jozef Mikuš has stepped down from his post, citing the latest developments in the way that the party has been led.
“The developments in SDKU-DS within the past few weeks are upsetting, despite my best possible efforts towards consolidating the party,” said Mikuš, adding that under these conditions he doesn’t want to be held responsible for any further developments in the party. Mikuš went on to say that the only opportunity for any improvement would be an early extraordinary party session that would kick off the much-desired changes in SDKU’s structure. Nevertheless, recent events within the top echelons have convinced him that the top management of the party isn’t willing to resort to any marked interventions.
