The European Court for Human Rights ruled out that Norway has to pay the Slovak-Norwegian couple Ladickys € 25.5 thousand for breaching their right to respecting private and family life. A Norwegian social service placed the Ladiskys’ daughter into foster care. The Slovak parents filed a complaint at the European Court for Human Rights also for breaching the right for a fair trial. The Slovak Republic intervened in this case as the third party, informed Slovak Justice Ministry. The child was removed from the family at the age of 2 months after Norwegian authorities claimed there were serious flaws in the care provided to the child such as the lack of eye contact from the deaf mother and a father too busy with his job.
