A protest against the Defence Cooperation Agreement with the USA (DCA) took place in front of the Parliament building in Bratislava on Tuesday.
The protest was organised by the extra-parliamentary Socialisti.sk party. Its chairman Artur Bekmatov said that the aim of the protest was to express disagreement with the treaty and support the parliamentary opposition, which sought to open a special parliamentary session over the referendum on the treaty. Several figures of the extra-parliamentary opposition and trade unions delivered speeches at the protest.
