President finds Prosecutor-General's visit to Russia inappropriate

President Zuzana Caputova finds Prosecutor-General Maros Zilinka’s recent trip to Russia to be inappropriate as he met a Russian official on the EU’s sanctions list, President’s spokesman Martin Strizinec informed on Tuesday. President stated that she is even more concerned by the fact that the prosecutor-general didn't even subsequently understand why his trip was perceived as problematic. As Caputova added, she isn’t considering filing a disciplinary motion against Zilinka for the time being. Last week, Prosecutor-General attended celebrations of the 300th anniversary of the Russian prosecution service in Moscow. The Prosecutor-General's Office won't comment on President’s statement regarding the trip to Russia, TASR press agency learnt on Tuesday.
