Slovak Parliamentary Chair Boris Kollar (We Are Family) and Czech Chamber of Deputies Chair Marketa Pekarova Adamova met at the Bratislava Castle on Monday. High on their agenda were rising energy prices, nuclear energy, the pandemic and cooperation within the V4 (Visegrad Four: the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Slovakia). The two also discussed co-operation within the Slavkov (Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia). At a joint press conference, Kollar expressed his opinion that cooperation between the two countries will continue to be above standard. Pekarova Ademola emphasised that they also agreed on the issue of nuclear energy as an emission-free source. According to her, membership of the EU as well as that of the Slavkov format is an important basis for cooperation. The head of the Czech Chamber of Deputies invited Kollar to visit the Czech Republic.
