Slovak Alpine skier Petra Vlhova on Tuesday clinched the small crystal globe for best slalom racer of the 2021/2022 World Cup season thanks to a second-place finish in a night slalom in Schladming, Austria.
Vlhova has thus gained an unassailable lead of 220 points in the discipline, as she’s won five of the seven slaloms so far this season. Only two more slaloms are on the schedule this year. Both will take place after the Winter Olympic Games in Beijing.
