As of Monday, the night-time curfew that was put in place as of December 17 ended. At the same time, primary, secondary schools, school clubs, extra curricular activities and cultural facilities are permitted to reopen. "Wearing face masks will be mandatory from the first grade of primary school, and parents are strongly recommended to test their children before they return to school and to repeat testing twice a week," said Health Ministry spokesperson Zuzana Eliášová. Schools will once again observe the so-called school COVID-19 traffic lights. According to her, shops selling essential goods will continue to operate in basic mode. Non-essential shops, services and restaurants will only be accessible in OP mode – for the vaccinated and those who recovered from covid-19 in the last 6 months. Hotels, ski resorts and church services will continue to function in OP mode.
OTP mode (fully vaccinated, recovered from COVID-19 or negatively tested) will remain in place on fast trains, IC trains and long-distance buses.
