Over 84% Slovaks observed measures in late 2021

A total of 84.4% of people complied with the measures during November and December last year, according to a 'How Are You, Slovakia?' survey. 42.2% of people refused a personal meeting or visit one or more times due to the nation-wide lockdown. Almost all respondents remained in close indoor contact with friends and relatives, with about a third never having respirators or face masks when meeting them. About a third had them sometimes and a third mostly or always, says the poll. The survey further found out that meetings were mostly cancelled by people (61.4%) who have not yet been vaccinated but plan to do so. Meetings were always attended mainly by those (43.6%) who are not vaccinated and do not even plan to be inoculated.

The survey was carried out by the Slovak Academy of Science's (SAV) Institute of Sociology, MNFORCE agency and Seesame communications agency on a sample of 1,000 respondents between December 12-16.
