The Special Prosecutor's Office turned down a complaint lodged by Slovak Central Bank Governor and former finance minister (2012-19) Peter Kazimir against charges of bribery that have been pressed against him. Special Prosecutor Daniel Lipsic rejects efforts to impugn the institute of cooperating defendant. On October 8, the Special Prosecutor's Office pressed charges of bribery against Kazimir, who appealed against the decision. Kazimir claimed that he does not plan to resign as the Slovak Central Bank Governor, finds the charges unjust and is determined to clear his name.
