Despite the COVID-19 pandemic and restrictions, more than 100,000 visitors saw Trencin Castle this year, with the 100,000th visitor being a Slovak woman who lives in Spain along with her partner and two children. TASR learnt this from Radovana Keliarova of the Trencin Museum press department on Wednesday. The prize for the 100,000th visitor was a flight in a hot-air balloon and the serving of castle mead. "The young family from Spanish Valencia didn't hide their surprise and great joy from the prize. They visit the city of Trencin about twice a year to see their relatives living there. This was their first visit together to the Castle," added Keliarova. As of January 1, Trencin Castle will be closed due to measures until further notice.
