Slovakia is in need of stability, President Zuzana Caputova has announced in her year-end review of 2021, calling it an "essential" need. "We cannot afford to watch endless political battles that have no winners, only losers, and we need to listen to and respect experts more," the president said. Addressing the situation in the health-care sector, Caputova claimed that she finds the demands of health workers for higher salaries and more funding for the sector to be justified, adding that many neighbouring countries offer better conditions for their health staff.
