Four additional omicron cases have been detected in Slovakia and all four persons were vaccinated with two doses against COVID-19, TASR learnt from the Public Health Office on Tuesday. All four infected had only a mild course of the disease, with symptoms such as coughing and tiredness. Currently, there are a total of 11 recorded cases of the omicron variant in Slovakia. The Public Health Office emphatically recommends vaccination against COVID-19 and the observing of measures. "Vaccination significantly reduces the risk of a serious course of the COVID-19 illness," added chief public health officer Ján Mikas.
