At least 10 333 health care workers did not apply for the €350 one off pandemic bonus. The SME daily wrote that these doctors and nurses either did not want the bonus or did not have enough time to apply as the government gave only three days before Christmas for doing so. “In my opinion it is a short time. If anyone misses the deadline for the application, we will deal with each case individually,” said Health Minister Vladimír Lengvarský. Nevertheless, the government-approved material on the bonus does not allow additional payment after the deadline, wrote the SME daily.
