The city of Košice has completely cancelled its planned New Year's Eve programme after consultations with regional hygienists. In addition to the previously called off Children's New Year's Eve in the Historic City Hall, they will not be able to organise a fire show. It was prepared instead of fireworks, which according to the municipality would have been a more ecological way of celebrating the New Year.
