PM: Anti-pandemic measures not to change until January 9

Anti-pandemic measures will not change until January 9, despite the fact that the number of COVID-19 patients in hospitals has dropped slightly, Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger stated on Sunday. He explained that the hospital bed occupancy rate is still high. The PM thus reacted to Economy Minister Richard Sulik, who opined earlier that the Government should go back to using the COVID-19 automaton and allow all businesses to reopen as the number of hospitalised patients with COVID-19 has dropped below 3,000. Heger remarked that no one really knows at the moment how the coronavirus omicron variant will affect unvaccinated individuals.
