Slovakia supports three Eastern Partnership countries to join EU common market

The conclusions of Wednesday’s EU-Eastern Partnership summit in Brussels include a mention that Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine will be included in the European common market. According to Slovak Prime Minister Eduard Heger, Slovakia, like other EU-member countries, expressed support at the summit for the reform efforts of these countries so that they can continue to grow economically and socially stronger. EU leaders held talks with top representatives of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine. Belarus was not directly represented at the meeting. As for the mention concerning Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, the Slovak PM stressed that this is a very important matter and probably the most ambitious conclusion adopted at the summit. "These are countries that express an interest in European values and we, of course, support them," he added.
